Driver on Meadowbrook charged with DWI

A Ridgewood man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on the Meadowbrook Parkway after a state trooper noticed a minivan moving erratically, State Police said.
Piotr Kilinkiewicz, 44, of 70-15 Fresh Pond Rd., Ridgewood, was charged after providing a breath sample that tested at a .14 percent blood alcohol level, police said. The legal limit is .08 percent.
Kilinkiewicz had been driving the minivan at high speed, and changed lanes without signaling, police said. When the trooper pulled the van over and interviewed Kilinkiewicz, the driver had alcohol on his breath, police said.
The traffic stop was at 10:24 p.m. Sunday on the parkway near Hempstead Turnpike. Kilinkiewicz faces a court date Dec. 14 on the DWI charge at Nassau County First District Court.
